Moisture Analyzers are one of the most commonly used instruments in industrial processes due to the abundance of water and its potential to liquify in a gas stream. Applications include: moisture balance in HC feedstocks, trace water measurements for catalyst protection, drier bed efficiency measurements, and maximizing moisture content in natural gas production and transportation.
These analyzers utilize several analytical techniques for the measurement of water concentration, from ppm/ppb/ppt to high percent level applications. For enhanced quality and accuracy, the preferred analytical techniques are Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) analyzers or TDLAS technology. However, for less accurate application requirements, capacitance probes and chilled mirror technology can be used.
