The MetCam® Continuous Optical Gas Imaging System is a fixed solution designed for real-time methane monitoring in industrial environments. It provides permanent visual detection and quantification of gas clouds, allowing operators to observe emissions as they occur rather than relying solely on periodic inspections.
Using dual-band infrared technology, the system compares two wavelength bands to distinguish target gas absorption from background effects. MetCam visualizes the gas plume on live video while quantifying gas path concentration and cloud dimensions. Onboard processing enables autonomous operation without external analytics software or subscription requirements.
The system is certified for hazardous areas (Zone 1 / Class I, Div. 1) and designed for outdoor service with an IP66-rated enclosure. Standard outputs include 4–20 mA, HART, ONVIF, and Gigabit Ethernet, supporting straightforward integration with plant control and monitoring systems.
