Air Quality Analyzers are usually associated with fugitive emissions or leak detection / fence line monitoring from large industrial processes. Open path fence line analyzers are typically used to monitor for toxic gas leaks, commonly using TDLAS or Open path gas detector technology. Fugitive emissions resulting from multiple small leaks that have appeared over time in various locations around the plant can result in accumulated toxic vapors that may cause chronic illness among workers. This monitoring is typically deployed for Volatile Organic Carbon (VOC) compounds and utilizes mass spectroscopy technology to gather measurements from around the industrial site, continuously monitoring for elevated exposure levels of these hazardous compounds.
