The MetCam® Continuous Optical Gas Imaging System is a fixed solution for real-time methane monitoring in industrial environments. It provides continuous visual detection and quantifies gas clouds, allowing operators to observe emissions as they occur rather than relying only on periodic inspections.

The system uses dual-band infrared technology to distinguish target gas absorption from background effects. It displays the gas plume on live video while measuring gas path concentration and cloud dimensions. Onboard processing enables autonomous operation without external analytics software.

MetCam is certified for hazardous areas (Zone 1 / Class I, Div. 1) and designed for outdoor service with an IP66 enclosure. Standard outputs include 4–20 mA, HART, ONVIF, and Gigabit Ethernet for integration with plant control systems.

Optical gas imaging provides a continuous monitoring alternative to periodic LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) surveys, offering visibility between scheduled inspections.
