Due to sustained growth during the past several years, our team continues to expand. We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician for our Calgary office.
Reporting to the National Service Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Calibration, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of analytical instruments on-site or at our Calgary office
- Execution of preventive maintenance contracts
- On-site start-up and commissioning service of Novatech analytical systems
- Provide telephone support for clients
- After-sales technical training for customers and partners
- Renewal and promotion of annual service contracts
- Regular interaction with our suppliers’ service departments
- Administration of service tasks such as submissions, work orders, service reports and RMAs via SAP by Design CRM / ERP system
- Participation in the management of the service inventory
- Close collaboration with fellow technicians and other internal colleagues in sales and project teams
- Shop integration and assembling systems (control panels and analytical systems including the assembling of electrical and pneumatic material).
Required skills :
- Good mechanical skills
- Interest and aptitude for technical learning
- Customer service focus
- Ability to work independently and organize workload
- Ability to work under pressure and with potential conflicting priorities
- Interested in analytical instrumentation
Profile required:
- A college diploma in industrial electronics, instrumentation and control of industrial processes or electrical engineering technology
- A minimum of 5 years experience in service or junior application considered exceptional
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of CRM / ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- A valid driver’s license and car
Assets: Knowledge of analytical instrumentation and industrial service experience
The work will be performed from our Calgary office and at clients’ offices. Travel across Alberta and occasionally elsewhere in Canada and the United States. Occasional trips are required for supplier training outside Canada.
